While the title did give a little away in terms of expectations, I hope you managed to enjoy it still (even if you have seen this before). It’s one of those shock-moments from judges, and quite justified in this case.

Jonathan Antoine is definitely talented (and the audience knew it – I’ve never seen a standing ovation *halfway* through a performance). In his young age (he’s been dubbed “the next Pavarotti”), there’s a certain range and depth in his voice that Paul Potts, the original “surprise” talent opera singer before Susan Boyle, never quite managed to match.
