A microphone, speaker, and a man… and by the end, beatboxing with a harmonica!
Did you notice how large the crowd got through the video? It starts out with people on the sidewalk watching Dave, with vehicles flowing through the street… By the time the video ends, the full street was filled with people, surrounding Dave and watching his antics.
Certainly creative and undoubtedly the culmination of many, many hours of craft, Dave’s ability to draw people is quite amazing, and a trait of successful street art. Growing a crowd takes sustained talent, and typically, continually impressive feats. With most pieces of street art, “amazing” tends to be comedy, stunts/feats of physical wonder, whereas in this case, it’s Dave’s enticing beatboxing that manages to pull people in, and comparatively rare to find.
